3/5 ★ – Hello_there's review of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

This game is a mixed bag. The main Texas Chainsaw Massacre game is really just, okay to me. It feels unbalanced when you’re playing as the victims, vs when you’re playing as the family. Even then the gameplay isn’t really enticing and I don’t care for it. The basement is so annoying to get out of, and the game feels too slow for me. Even playing as killer then boring for me, even though it’s balanced in my favor. The maps were cool, I liked the house from the original 70s movies. I don’t like the gas station map, but it is what it is. Overall the main mode isn’t much to talk about. But the Rush week mode is better than the main game imo; however not by much. It still feels very unbalanced for the survivors, and didn’t do much for me. I played really similarly to ‘Friday The 13th’ game from a few years ago. The map also felt more free, but I also hope they add more maps for that mode. The mode was fun but I wouldn’t go back to it really. Now unironically, I think Museum Mode was the best mode in the game. I found myself very locked in, while having fun exploring the fun facts about the movies, and games. There were a few jump scares that actually got me, and the ending felt worth it. Overall, this game is the definition of a mixed bag in my opinion. I’d say give it a chance for yourself. I’ve seen many say they love it, and many say they hate it. But for me; 6/10
