3/5 ★ – IronPackfan's review of Marvel's Spider-Man: The City that Never Sleeps.

I love this Spider-Man game but replaying these three DLCs was a chore. The Heist is the longest and most fun, but at best, it’s somewhere between a 3.5/5 and a 4/5. The story surrounding Black Cat, but quite frankly, I didn’t need to know that Peter and Felicia did the devil’s tango. Turf Wars was a weaker story. Yuri seemed to just straight up abandon Peter on a dime and I get there’s gravity to her arc and motivation, but idk. Just seemed really fast. Hammerhead is a bitch and his boss fight is annoying. The Sable upgraded Hammerhead thugs are irritating, especially the assholes with mini guns, or the other guys with jet packs and shields. There’s no follow up to Felicia’s story here and MJ isn’t even featured once I don’t think. It’s short though, so that’s a win. I’d maybe give it a 3/5. The worst one was The Silver Lining. There’s a really pointless and unnecessarily difficult fight with Silver Sable at the very start. The enemies are genuinely frustrating again. And Hammerhead has the goofiest follow up and conclusion to his storyline. When he goes all Franken-mech, I just couldn’t take it seriously. No mention of Yuri. Felicia’s story is resolved but just momentarily. This one is a 2/5 I think. Just not that fun to play imo. Oh, and the worst thing in all three of these? The thing I hated more than anything? SCREWBALL. My God is she infuriating. I was really hoping Spider-Man would just break his rule of no killing this one time. She just has the most painful voice ever and the way she talks is essentially is Tik Tok was a person. If I hear “PHOTOBOMB!” one more time, I’m going to brake something. So yeah. This wasn’t great. But I’ve played worse.
