5/5 ★ – Isaac_Ashley's review of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

If I had to pick one Call of Duty that truly defined the series, it would be Modern Warfare 2. It’s not just my favorite COD—it’s one of the most original and unforgettable FPS games ever made. Everything about MW2 felt groundbreaking at the time. The campaign? Absolutely legendary. From heart-pounding missions like Cliffhanger to the infamous No Russian, it was filled with intense, cinematic moments that made every mission feel larger than life. The story might not have been the most complex, but it was thrilling from start to finish. Then there’s the multiplayer—MW2 basically invented the modern FPS formula. The maps, the weapons, the killstreaks—everything was perfectly designed to keep you hooked. Whether you were running around Terminal with an ACR, dropping a Tactical Nuke, or getting wrecked by one-man army noob tubes, every match was pure chaos in the best way possible. The balance was a mess, but honestly, that’s what made it fun. And we can’t forget Spec Ops—one of the best co-op modes in the series. Taking on tough missions with a friend was an absolute blast and added even more replayability to an already packed game. Even after all these years, MW2 still holds up. The impact it had on the FPS genre is undeniable, and no other Call of Duty has quite captured the same magic. It’s an all-time classic, and for me, it will always be the COD.
