4/5 ★ – Isaac_Ashley's review of Garry's Mod.

Garry’s Mod – The Ultimate Sandbox ★★★★½☆ There’s no other game quite like Garry’s Mod. It’s not about following a story or completing missions—it’s just pure, open-ended fun. Whether you’re messing around with physics, building ridiculous contraptions, or jumping into wild multiplayer game modes, there’s always something new to do. The best part? Mods. The Steam Workshop is packed with thousands of them, letting you turn GMod into pretty much anything you want. You can download new maps, custom weapons, wacky player models, or even entire game modes. Want to fight zombies? Done. Have a Star Wars-style lightsaber battle? Easy. Play hide-and-seek as a lamp? Absolutely. The possibilities are endless, and that’s what makes GMod so addicting. Even though the Source engine is ancient as hell, the game still holds up because of how much freedom it gives you. Sure, the physics are janky, and sometimes things break in the funniest ways, but honestly, that just makes it better. Some of the best moments come from things going completely wrong. If there’s one downside, it’s that GMod can be overwhelming at first. There’s so much to do that it’s easy to get lost, and some servers can be a chaotic mess. But once you get the hang of it, it’s the kind of game you can keep coming back to for years. At the end of the day, Garry’s Mod is whatever you make it. Whether you’re building, exploring, or just goofing around with friends, it’s one of the most unique and endlessly fun games out there.
