4/5 ★ – JangoFett's review of Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two – 4/5 Stars Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two builds on the imaginative foundation of the original with a bigger world, full voice acting, and the long-awaited addition of cooperative play—and for the most part, it delivers a charming and worthwhile experience. The game’s biggest addition is Oswald the Lucky Rabbit as a fully playable character. The co-op dynamic between Mickey and Oswald adds a fun layer to the gameplay, especially when played with a friend. Oswald’s abilities, like using his remote to control machines or glide with his ears, complement Mickey’s paint-and-thinner mechanics nicely. The puzzles and platforming sequences are designed around teamwork, and they’re often satisfying to figure out. The world of Wasteland is once again full of forgotten Disney magic, blending nostalgia with creativity. The levels feel even more alive this time around, thanks to the orchestral score, voice acting, and more cinematic storytelling. Disney fans will have a blast spotting the deep-cut references sprinkled throughout. That said, some of the original’s issues carry over. The camera can still be awkward, and Oswald’s AI (when playing solo) doesn’t always cooperate, which can lead to frustration during more timing-sensitive sequences. The game also tries to juggle a lot with branching choices, collectibles, and quest systems, but it sometimes feels a bit unfocused. Despite its flaws, The Power of Two is a heartfelt, visually rich adventure that expands on the Epic Mickey universe in meaningful ways. It’s not a perfect sequel, but it’s a fun, charming co-op experience that keeps the Disney magic alive. A solid 4-star ride through a world where forgotten characters finally get their time to shine.
