2.5/5 ★ – JayTheCh1cken's review of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

A game that...kind of doesn't need to exist? This game is close enough to the original (a game that holds up well to this day) without much substantial improvements that I'd find it hard to recommend this over the original. The few improvements that do exist are weirdly implemented in a monkey-pawed so even the few places the game is changed it's not necessarily better. Frank can aim and move at the same time now? It barely changes anything. You can skip time now? You're missing out on the point of the game. You can see durability for your weapons now? It doesn't matter, because after a single playthrough you'll always have infinite durability on everything. Don't mistake me though, I'm happy to see Dead Rising get new games again, but I feel like if they were going to remake this game they should have differentiated it more from the original, or better yet just make a new game in the style of the original. Hopefully a possible DRDR2 will be better...
