5/5 ★ – JayTheCh1cken's review of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.

This game is the weirdest mishmash of ideas and yet I love it somehow. You got Runescape grinding, Animal Crossing New Horizons island building and a pinch of Breath of the Wild exploration and somehow I love it? Now, as one of the perhaps 5 people on Earth who played this along with the original Fantasy Life, I'm happy to see that this game is pretty much a step up in every way from the original. The plot is a whole lotta fun like the original, except now there's actually a villain, imagine that. Now there's three different world maps to explore, the past, the present, and the open world Ginormosia so there's a whole lot to grind out. Exploring Ginormosia feels empty sometimes, but clearing shrines out and getting new party members is nice compared to the original where party members were just handed to you for free. I do wish the plot explained more in a few areas, and there's definitely room for DLC in the future to do just that for what we have right now I'm happy.
