4/5 ★ – JetDusk's review of Banjo-Tooie.
This is still a fantastic game I have a lot of good memories with, but replaying it exposed some issues I have with it nowadays. The biggest one being... the game is too big. In that, the overworlds are way too large, each one is about as big as the final world of Kazooie. With the amount of steps for just collecting a lot of the jiggies, the walking, and the backtracking especially, the game loses the brevity of the original in exchange for scope that hurts more often towards the late game.
I gave up on completion after Grunty Industries, I stopped playing the game for months because of it, and only finally returned so I could say I finished the game. Overall the game is well polished and a lot of fun, but towards the end, the worlds get much more annoying and complicated beyond reason. The final boss is still pretty good though.
