3/5 ★ – KHFanXIII's review of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey - Legacy of the First Blade.

As a DLC for a game I didn't like, I'd say that I actually enjoyed this one. Obviously, it still carries over issues of the main game, but a few of them are actually solved just by this being a smaller piece of content. The scale is massively reduced so you're seeing more story, there are fewer Cultists (or in this case Order of the Ancients) members in the Cultist system, meaning the few cutscenes that do happen after killing one feel more impactful, and help make it feel a lot less pointless and unfulfilling killing one, also less bullshit to do in general, less sidequests, etc. Overall, just due to this being a DLC for this game, there is little to no bloat, making it feel like a much more focused experience. It doesn't hurt that this feels a lot more like an Assassin's Creed story as well, owing to the fact that Darius is here. My only real problem with the story was the romance, which felt forced thematically and WAS forced in gameplay lol. All in all though, this is a pretty good DLC for a pretty bad game.
