4.5/5 ★ – Krypt2k's review of It Takes Two.

Just like 'A way out', this is also another amazing split screen co-op where you get to play alongside a friend. This is more of a romantic story with some sad and relatable elements. It follows characters Cody and May (the parents of a little girl called Rose) who are currently going through a separation/ divorce. Rose is clearly being affected by this as any child would. The parents end up turning into dolls and so they embark on a journey around their home to try and reignite that spark they once had for each other especially for Rose's sake. It's a journey about teamwork and crossing many hurdles along the way. many various objects around the house have also been brought to life, giving the players some fun boss battles to handle. As you can imagine, being a small doll in what is now a huge house from their perspective, makes for some great level design and adds another layer of excitement to the mix. You can also goof around with your partner before progressing further into the story by playing some fun mini games that have been implemented in each level. For example, 'Whack-a-Cody' which is whack-a-mole where you literally have to whack his dolls head as many time as you can before the timer runs out. And that is just one of the many other fun mini games this game has to offer. A brilliant game to play.
