One of the most anticipated games of 2022. Nobody had any idea if this game was going to be a big hit or a massive flop. Let's say Game Freak hit a grand slam home run with this Pokemon game! I will admit that my expectations were low for this game as a fan of the franchise, but I am SO GLAD I was proven wrong! This may be honestly one of the best Pokemon games I have ever played. It has no doubt made my top 3 Pokemon games of all time! This game takes Pokemon to the next level (no pun intended) of this franchise! A Pokemon where you hunt and catch them while also battling at the same time as a second option is mind blowing! There are so many things I can talk about this wonderful, but I will try to keep this short and sweet! Pros: 1. Catching mechanics feels excellent and brings a whole new way to catch Pokemon! Here's hoping that Gen 9 can bring that same aspect! 2. The story is not like any other Pokemon story! This takes some really dark turns and is not for the average Pokemon player which takes it to the next level of things. Most people don't care for the Pokemon game stories, but I guess I am in the minority. And 3. It is very objective friendly and the side quests are worth doing! Cons: Not being able to pick items up if your satchel is full. Kind of bad that you have to pay money you earn to increase it...but oh well! And a few texture glitches here and there, but not as bad. Overall this game is worth the $60, but lucky for me I got for under $30 thanks to a friend's leftover eShop credit that I got last Christmas! Even if you are not a Pokemon fan, this game is worth playing to get an enjoyable experience! It's my personal Game Of The Year so far in 2022, but that could change any moment!
