1/5 ★ – Lammy's review of MY HERO ONE'S JUSTICE 2.

My Hero One's Justice 2 post-Story Mode review: My god this game is not good. I'm far from a fighting game master, but even I can see that. This is a followup to My Hero One's Justice, a My Hero Academia themed 3D arena fighter that wasn't terrible, but definitely had flaws (namely, issues with gap closing and camera lock caused a devolution in balance that invalidated every non-ranged character except the DLC Shoot Style Deku). One's Justice 2 solves these issues by... not solving them, like, at all. It DID seem to nerf ranged characters like Todoroki or Toga, but melee characters still suffer from a dash mechanic that is now even worse than before. Combine this with a weird super meter that mostly fills only by getting hit (blocking does not count) and the most unresponsive block or evade options I have EVER seen, and the game signs its own death warrant. The game isn't competitive. It isn't even fun. And WHY THE HELL did they make it so Stage 2 Overhaul cannot move unless he's dashing, when dashing costs super meter?! Skip this one. Go watch My Hero Academia instead. 2/10, at least it runs.
