2.5/5 ★ – Lechuck0808's review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

After playing Jedi Survivor, the sequel to my favorite game of 2019, for about 15 hours, I opened the ea app, mumbled some obscenities, and uninstalled the 150 GB worth of alpha test that EA apparently thought was all good and ready for release. Now, it's important for me to emphasize that my rating is not purely based on the terrible state of the game, but also on the game itself. I love Fallen Order. I love Sekiro. I love real open world games. But please, for the love of all that is holy, don't try to mix all of those together. It's not as satisfying as Sekiro, it's not nearly as tightly designed as Fallen Order, and worst of all, it seems like it needed to check a box called "Open Levels" so they just made some big ol' fields filled to the brim with EMPTY FUCKING SPACE. It reminds me of how I felt when I played GOW: Ragnarok and, to a lesser degree, Uncharted 4. All three games are clearly well designed, have great narratives, and are universally acclaimed, but every time I sat down to play I was bored to tears. Anyway, I probably would have forced myself through it (and probably have given it a more favorable rating) if it wasn't for the fact that I literally couldn't progress. That's right, baby, it's the best bug of all: the progress-halting crash! Now completely fix-resistant! You can try all you want: run as Administrator, verify game files, reinstall drivers, clear app cache, need I go on? Get it now, for only 70€! Dissatisfaction guaranteed, or your money back!
