4/5 ★ – LetsHeckingGo's review of Halo Infinite.

A solid game that still left me feeling disappointed. There's a ton of great things about Halo Infinite. The gunplay is better than ever, the enemy AI/designs are still top notch, and the open world format is a much needed change of pace for the franchise. Unfortunately, the overall story simply failed to be engaging for me. I found the plot to be somewhat boring and it failed to capitalize on what Halo 4 setup so well in my opinion, which was Chief's and Cortana's relationship and the humanization of Chief. That's the stuff I care about. The characters. Not some new arbitrary ancient enemy that's come out of the woodwork. With that said, I loved the new addition of Weapon as a character and her chemistry with Chief was the most enjoyable part of the story for me. Still enjoyed myself and am hopeful for the future of Halo.
