3/5 ★ – Livtoon's review of Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach.

Everyone rates this game as if it was terrible. I love the franchise mostly for the lore although I find it sad because Steel Wool Studios obviously changed many objectives throughout it. Matpat made a video on this but i’ll recap it. When Matt makes a video on a game, from past experience, everyone notices a major change in the games overall personality mostly effecting the story line. Especially fnaf. Almost every game he made a theory on in this franchise, Scott has made extreme changes almost in a way where we are left with having to piece together the clues. But the sad part is, that’s not what everyone wants. In the community, they make theories and whether they were right or wrong, they accept both. Why? Because if we’re right, we obviously celebrate because we put all the puzzle pieces together and guessed correctly on what the storyline was. Now if we were wrong, we’d obviously not celebrate, but it would give us so many more clues to piece together and honestly, as theorists, we love digging into things. The problem is, is that creators think that if their audience is close to figuring out the plot of the game, their game is all of a sudden trash or “too easy to figure out”. It’s as if they fear their game will be forgotten in the next week because we finally reached the end of our journey, but that’s not what we want at all. Every time we make a theory that is 99% right and everyone agrees with each other (for example the bite of 87 and the crying child), Scott takes it as an opportunity to start reaching Lol. When fnaf 4 came out, we found out the bite of 87 was a different bite and had nothing to do with the crying child, we actually found out it was the bite of 83 when he died. Now i’m not complaining about that but, with security breach, the team totally blew it off by stretching it way too far. Anyone who’s into fnaf knows we dig deep for lore. Even a single sticky note could be hidden lore (wink wink). But Scott and the team made it so confusing not even Mattpat could make an overall story line from what we were given in this new game. It literally got him so much controversy that he was trending on twitter for a week from the theories he made on the details we were given. With fnaf it’s extremely obvious this game was not finished and needed many patches. Even when the patches came out, the game was still buggy and on console it was terrible quality. I think when we take the lore and the lag out of the way, personally I see this game as still good. Could of it been better? 1000%. But for now this is what we got and sadly we’ll have to wait for the next game. Wish it could’ve been at least a bit more entertaining, but for now, that’s all. I’m done ranting
