I say this as a person who doesn't play fighting games regularly. Fighting games tend to be pretty dense mechanically, which can make it hard for some people to get into them. I believe that from all of the fighting games I've played, this is the easiest and the most beginner friendly. With its changeable difficulty and its multiple tutorials, thems fightin herds comes as a pretty fun experience for someone not that into fighting games. Another aspect in which I belive thems fightin herds shines brighter than other games is in its story mode. The decision of making it a top-down view environment with challenges and mysteries to find turns this game into a really fun experience, and with a completely new and creative world, you are always wanting to know more about this characters. It's a shame that story mode will never get finished, and besides that and some errors from the most recent DLC, this game is a total recommendation
