4/5 ★ – LouisDeFran's review of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.

I was completely hooked on this game for several months. I had a lot of fun completing the campaign and exploring the varied other challenges and achievements that the game offers. I found the game to be as expansively as the Marvel universe itself. There are a large number of playable characters, with even more that are unlockable through purchasing DLC, or completing challenges. There seems to be an infinite number of ways to customize your characters, through leveling up and expanding upon certain attack abilities they have, enhancing their abilities through the use of artifacts, unlockable alternate costumes and skins. The list goes on. And that’s just for the characters. There are also a variety of challenges to complete that vary in difficulty. The DLC also includes additional campaign missions and stories. It just seems to go on and on forever. I found myself getting overwhelmed by the amount of content available. Finally one day I shelved the game and haven’t touched it since. I think I had just gotten burnt out. The game is captivating and fun to play. You will definitely get your money’s worth with the purchase of the DLC. All in all, the game can be what you make of it. You could exclusively play this game for a whole year, as I did, and not get bored of it. But be warned, you may experience burnout after a while.
