3.5/5 ★ – Luitenant_Gruber's review of Eggstraction.

Another of those “quick laugh party games”. Eggstraction is a hilarious, simple party game in which you play as either a chicken or the farmer. The goal as a chicken is to collect a certain number of golden eggs and secure them in your base. When enough eggs are brought back, you win. You can choose four different chickens, each with their own abilities. As the farmer, you need to capture all the chickens and defend the eggs. You got some traps, barricades and a rifle to incapacitate the chickens. When picking them up, you can throw them in a cage. The chickens can be rescued by other players, keeping the game going if a player has been captured. The graphics and animations in Eggstraction are very simple, basic and cartoonish, this is not the type of game that needs to be pretty. The sound is lame and nothing special, but the clucking and screams of the chickens are hilarious. The controls take some time to get used to and feel a little clunky, especially with jumping. That is all there is to it. Get some friends, choose one of the four maps, choose a chicken, rescue or defend the eggs, and repeat. Like other, simple party games like Slap The Fly, Bad Guys at School and many, many others, this is a game you pick up on a Friday night, have a few laughs and then never touch it again. For the fun factor and the presence of a real objective in this game (unlike some other filth on Steam like Zookeeper Simulator), I would surely recommend it.
