"MY FRIENDS ARE MY POWER!" - The Goat Kingdom Hearts is a franchise that I absolutely adore. The dialogue is cringed, the story can be a bit weird sometimes, and slow-motion (at least in the older ones) is overused as fuck. However, the charm and adventures are always there. I really like how there are many things to do in the game. The little trinity marks around the areas are fun to find. A little cutscene usually plays when you find them. The 101 dogs is also a neat little thing to add. There are so many things that add charm to this game, which I love so much. The actual story is simple and clean, but again, there is some charm to it that I adore. Now when you actually get into the combat, the game definitely feels aged. Not only is the camera hideous in this game, but the movement is also very limited. The camera moves around constantly sometimes and glitches out. It is also wayyyyy too close to the screen. The movement feels very limited and makes it hard to traverse. The combat also feels stiff and rough. A final note before spoilers, the story is still weird at times in this game, especially near the end. I have no idea why certain things happen (spaceship). !!!!!Spoilers Below!!!! I love the betrayal of Riku, and it creates a good parallel between Sora and Riku. I also like the worlds in the game. Though small, like Wonderland and Traverse Town, they can create really cool secrets. I honestly can not explain how much charm there is it is crazy. Anyway, the final boss fight (played on Proud mode btw) makes me want to puke. It really annoys the hell out of me. The first 2 phases are actually really fun and engaging. The bosses in this game, including Maleficent and Riku's 2nd phase especially, can be difficult but rewarding. However, the final phase of the boss fight is actually outrageously dumb as fuck. The constant lasers being spewed at you, are annoying enough. But it is also fucking annoying to damage him. It creates an unfair and annoying boss fight, which places me among some of the worst boss fights I have ever seen. Pros: + Absolute Charmmmmmmm + Characters and Story are Lovable + Combat and Bosses can be rewarding at times + I love the entire setup of the game + Goofy and Donald are absolute goats + Worlds are filled with things like trinity marks and hidden dogs + OST is just flipping incredible + Traverse Town and charming worlds Cons: - Final Boss Fight 3rd Phase is unfair and annoying - Camera and stiff movement can make combat annoying at times - Awkward voice acting and dialogue (adds to charm tho) - Slow-mo shots are weird and out of place (nitpick. but adds charm) At Time of Review: High 7/10 Mechanics: 7/10 Story and Characters: 8/10 Presentation: 8/10 Enjoyability: 7/10
