Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations Day of Review and Rating: 12/20/2024 Started: 11/14/2024 Finished: 11/28/2024 Last Played: 11/28/2024 Hours to Beat: 26 Total Hours: 26 Completion: Main Game Trophy Completion: N/A Played On: Laptop !!! WARNING: SPOILERS !!! Holy moly. What an ending to the trilogy! I'm going to go over each case a little and then talk about the best case of the series so far. Case 1 started off with important character information regarding Dahli and Mia's first-ever case. It sets up the game well, and in my opinion, is the best first case so far. There isn't too much special stuff going on here, though. Case 2 was a surprisingly great case. The first part where you have to prove Ron wasn't at the crime scene was fun. Luke Atmey has some cool ass animations and the music in this case was great. Ron's wife also seems a bit shady, and I thought she was going to be involved at one point. I really like the twist that she cared for Ron, who is also a great character by the way. The case gets even better when you hear the news of another crime, a murder where Ron now was! The 2nd part was awesome, and having to deal with the consequences of proving Ron innocent the first time was interesting. Case 3 was decent, and it has some cool characters. Red Phoenix (I forgot his name) was funny as hell, and that emo-ish girl was chill. The old man wasn't even that bad too. Walking around the little cafe and the whole mystery of the case was also good. A good case, but nothing too standout here. There are some cool moments of foreshadowing here though with the blood on the apron. Case 4 was short, but I liked the vibe of the case. We got to see Diego before everything had happened, and this built intrigue of who Godot was and his purpose in being super aggressive with Phoenix. The end of the trial was unique, and the entire stage was set up for the best caseee. Case 5 had an interesting setup with you going to this place high up in the mountains. It was isolating and had a limited amount of characters. However, there was somebody who even looked like Dahlia. I love the mystery that's looming over the entire case from start to finish. There are so many twists that got me shocked as fuck. The detail that Godot was gone the entire fucking time didn't even seem suspicious to me until it was revealed he was the killer. The fact he was the killer surprised me so much, and that part when the lights turn off and he's like, "Ya got me Trite". FIRE. PEAKKKKK. Also, side note, I love when he calls him Mr. Trite. The entire story revolving around Godot was fucking epic. I love how he could've easily avoided any death or danger, but the fact he wanted to get revenge in some kinda way, is so fucked up. But I also think he is a tragic character. He is a bad person though, in my opinion. But I just like his complexity and how he is way different from Miles and Franziska. Speaking of them, I adore how they both came back and helped Phoenix out. The case was really a culmination of everything (even the smelly butz). Actually, his upside down drawing reveal was also cool. The reveal that Dahlia was using Mias body was nice, but it was kinda predictable. However, there was a happy twist for Phoenix. Iris was the girl he actually was talking to, and they did actually like each other. Again, another way as to how all the cases connect in some way. Lastly, that iconic moment where the original pursuit theme plays as you corner Godot. 10/10 case. Overall, this trilogy is one that I loved so much, and it is going to definitely represent my first semester at VT. Onto the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles! 1. Case 5 2. Case 2 3. Case 4 4. Case 1 5. Case 3 Pros: + Out of the trilogy, this game had the best story that was also woven into the entire plot. + Godot + Case 5 + Music was still great with Godot's theme being insane + Great new characters and character themes Cons: - Again, the only thing I can think of is walking around to different areas was annoying.
