3.5/5 ★ – M_Riolu's review of Sonic Lost World (3DS).

I beat the console/PC version of Sonic Lost World back in May and I enjoyed my time with it. It’s not as bad as people say it is, but it isn’t all that great either. I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions on the 3DS version, some good, and some bad, so I wasn’t expecting all too much. The one major complaint I heard the most though, was how long the levels are. And oh boy, they were not lying. I think that the 3DS version of Lost World can be really good at times, but man, the lows are pretty low. I think the long levels mixed with the controls on 3DS can make it tedious to play at times. The forced motion controls are also not doing it any favors. I actually enjoyed doing the special stages despite the motion controls, but I did not like the motion controls for the Wisps at all. As I normally do, I got all of the Chaos Emeralds, however, I did not get to use Super Sonic a single time, so I’m not too sure how good it even is in the game. Other than that, the game is still kinda the same as the console/PC version which I believe to be a better overall package. Playtime: ~4 hours Riolu Rating: 8.3/10 Do I recommend it? I don’t really see much of a reason to play the game unless you are a die-hard Sonic fan like I am. Hell, I don’t even know if I would recommend the console/PC version of Lost World just because you aren’t really missing out on much. If you don’t think you’re gonna like it, just don’t play it, but if you are still curious, it wouldn’t hurt to try. Beaten: November 22, 2024
