2/5 ★ – Manic_Zucc's review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back From The Sewers.

One step forward and two steps back. On one hand Back From the Sewers addresses a lot of my issues with Fall of the Foot Clan, it has more style, better sprite animations, more music, and more variety to its levels. However what it gains in presentation it loses in polish. This game is significantly harder than it’s predecessor to the point where I’m sure most kids never finished it. Lots of impossible to dodge attacks, infinitely spawning enemies, and wacky hit boxes. Some parts of the game are even done in a 2.5D plane and while I appreciate the effort, these section had really inconsistent hit detection which lead to bosses like Bebop and Shredder being harder than they were probably intended. Ultimately while Fall of the Foot Clan failed to leave an impression, Back From the Sewers aimed higher but ultimately fell harder.
