2/5 ★ – Manic_Zucc's review of The Fairly OddParents: Clash With the Anti-World.

Another recent discovery from my childhood game collection. Definitely remember this game being a lot longer but I beat it in one sitting. Clash with the Anti-World is a run of the mill bellow average licensed game. It’s by all means playable and has a few decent ideas, but doesn’t have the creativity to actually design anything worth while around them. This is also a nitpick but what is with the game’s cover? Crocker is the one who accidentally lets the Anti-Fairies in, why does the cover make it look like it was Cosmo? Game gets some points for decent controls and a few good music tracks. The idea of different magic power ups you can swap between would be cool if the Ninja didn’t completely outclass all other options, not to mention most of the power ups are built around a single level then are never useful again. I also like some of the ideas the game has involving different “Anti” characters. Like how Anti-Pixies are party animals because in the show Pixies are super serious. It’s fun. There just isn’t any meat on the bones and the stages are super bland and repetitive. Regardless I’m not gonna act like I didn’t enjoy playing through a classic from my childhood. Some things just age better than others.
