4.5/5 ★ – Mario8th's review of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.
Well first things first, as my username implies I'm quite a bit fan of the Super Mario. I am Also one of the 6 people who played this game originally on my very own WiiU. This means I was able to discover how truly great a game Mario 3D World was before most others. And it's great! The level design is top tier, the music is fan-freaking-tastic, and the game looks good to boot. I do wish the levels adhered to a more thematic approach, like in SMB3 or World, but at least they're fun, even if they don't match the world they're in.
Bowser's Fury, on the other hand, is a great piece of DLC(?) Extra Content(?) New Small Game(?)
Regardless, the series of more open levels that are all interconnected by a big ocean was really fun. My biggest gripe is that it's running on the 3D world engine. Having to hold to run while also using your right thumb to control the camera just doesn't work. My second biggest grip is the Bowser's Fury sections of Bowser's Fury get old pretty quickly. And towards the end Way too frequent.
But even then, it's more great level design, more really fun music, more Mario. And it's hard to pass up More Mario.
