3.5/5 ★ – MasterCreate97's review of Monsters vs. Aliens.
It always seems to me that no matter how an animated movie from Dreamworks turns out, they almost always seem to have a very solid video game tie in that is both entertaining and decentally challenging. This is the case for the video game adaptation of the Dreamworks movie Monsters Vs Aliens.
You can play as Susan, The Missing Link and even B.O.B in different sections of the game’s story. Susan’s gameplay is a simple point A to B skating segments while dodging obstacles and grinding on rails and walls. The Missing link on the other hand is a more agile character. His gameplay involves platforming and climbing up sides of giant robots. B.O.B’s sections are more about puzzle solving and figuring out how to get across sections of a level. There is a lot of variety in this game and some sections are better put together than others. The enemy alien robots have fun designs and some require different methods of how to attack them.
Honestly, there’s not much else I can say about this game except that it’s a well crafted tie-in game that is worth playing if you're a fan of the movie itself.
