2/5 ★ – Matt_TooFast4U's review of Override: Mech City Brawl.

This is a game made for a very small niche; people who grew up watching shows like Power Rangers, Ultraman and the like, and just enjoy giant robots stomping around cities beating up other robots and/or giant monsters. No other modern game out there really gives you this spectacle on this scale, but unfortunately as a game, Override is pretty dire. It's a clunky 3D arena fighter, with some pretty weird controls and generally unsatisfying combat against opponent robots The story mode is completely bankrupt in terms of plot or characters, but it is the only mode that lets you send monsters flying through buildings, so there is that. As I said, only fans of this kind of thing will find any enjoyment. As far as I know, the monsters are completely absent in the recent sequel; on the other hand, it has Ultraman as a DLC fighter so....keep that in mind. Also, online matchmaking is dead, so don't bother.
