2/5 ★ – MechaniChris's review of The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.

I really didn’t think it was possible for a recent Zelda game to be this bad. Tri-force heroes is barely a Zelda game, offering no adventure or exploration and just presenting a list of puzzles for you to complete so you can unlock clothes. Some puzzles would need to be completed many times in order to unlock the better outfits, but it’s truly not worth it. This is all in effort to defeat a witch who cursed Zelda to dress ugly. So the story is basically nonexistent. And of course there’s the three hero gimmick which fully sucks. Cannot imagine finding 3 people who would want to play this at the same time, even back when it came out. So I was stuck in single player mode, which is deliberately worse and annoying to play because I have to keep quickly switching between dummies. It MOSTLY plays the same as A Link Between Worlds but the added companions and lack of depth truly suck any joy out of the experience and it is an easy skip for all but the most die hard fans.
