2/5 ★ – MicheladaMan's review of The Last Campfire.
Cute little game. I was not a fan of the narrator for the game. She narrates all of the dialogue in this game and unfortunately she doesn’t do enough to differentiate her voice between characters to make them unique so every character ends up feeling pretty similar. I’m also not a fan of how trivially easy some of the puzzles in this game are, and thats coming from someone that is notoriously awful at puzzles in video games, but that also depends on what age range they were aiming for here. As a kid’s game they’ve knocked it out of the park. The levels are fun to explore and the game is easy and short enough that most 7-10 year olds will have a blast. If this game was intended for adults they definitely could have upped the difficulty a bit especially since this game has a very short runtime of 6 hours. I would have much rather had 6 hours of a decent challenge than 6 hours of puzzles that never required me to put much thought into them. Overall though this game is a decently fun time and I enjoyed the story. Worth a shot if you need a new game and find this one on sale. Also a really easy platinum trophy if you are a PSN trophy hunter.
