5/5 ★ – Na_jokers's review of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

I’ve now finished the story and I can say this has to be one of my favorite games. Eivor is such a great protagonist, he’s a badass, he’s funny and he’s just genuinely fun to play as. This game has a bunch of great characters, Sigurd, Basim, gunnar Along with many others. The story is very intriguing, I like how there’s one big story, that is progressed by doing other little story’s (conquests). How Sigurd is slowly going crazy talking about gods and visions, which all seems to crazy too Evior. He’s conflicted against his brother while trying to learn on himself. ****SPOILERS BELOW**** I didn’t expect to kill Kjotve so early on in the story. Then his son escaping completely flipped on the narrative to what I thought this game was gonna be about, which I like. Can’t Believe we get to go to Asgard and Jotunheim and fight gods. One boss fight I found strange was Fenrir. Mainly due to the fact that the lvl recommended for the quest is 90, but then hits you with a 280 boss. In general Asgard and Jotunheim offered a variety of fun bosses, The builder, Loki and suttungr were defo some of the best bosses jn the game. Jotunheim also offered a fun legendary animal (steinnbjorn) which was cool. I like the story completion, and how you see Eivor overcome Odin and Sigurd nearly succumb to Tyr, whereas basim is consumed by Loki. The way it kind of hints that the Asgard story line and real time story line are connected. It’s weird that I guessed Basim would betray Eivor, I had a suspicion he was The father of the order but then suspected it was king Alfred, then basim did the betrayal and I sat there and went “I knew it” then when I trapped him on the yggdrasil and the quest was over and the father was still not revealed, I then just thought “yep it’s king Alfred” Speaking of which, I’m torn on that ending, I like how heartwarming it is, but then I also wanted to kill him a few mins before the cutscene.
