3/5 ★ – NexusofVenus's review of TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children.

This game is a great example of doing too much instead of just focusing on a few key things. First off the bad: some of these are nitpicks but I legit hate that when you find new equipment the game offers to let you change it but doesn’t show the stats, the constant fog of war is dumb like why would there be fog in broad daylight, there’s no clear indication of which missions you have and haven’t done, and overall a lot of this game is a slow burn. But still… it’s a pretty solid experience. There’s a lot of actual strategy that goes into each mission and I appreciate that. The characters all have pretty unique abilities too. But the story is… I mean why even bother? The main problem is the story isn’t enough to keep me engaged enough to keep playing. At best it’s serviceable, at worst it’s just boring.
