4/5 ★ – Niebeer's review of BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light.
Much better than the first part. The gameplay is alot more engaging with its turn based combat now utilizing an active time element and letting your characters chain their attacks, which let's you build up combos for massive damage. It's still on the easy side but its alot more fun than the previous game. The cast is endearing and the game takes its time in establishing them, which gives the game a cozy and relaxing feel. Yet there's still a sense of melancholy to it as the story continues to reveal itself. If a mix of slice of life, coming of age drama mixed with mahou shoujo tropes all wrapped in a fun rpg sounds like its your jam, then this franchise may be something you would enjoy. You should however definitely play the first one if you plan on playing this, as it will definitely enhance the experience.
