3/5 ★ – Nintenjoe's review of Batman: Arkham Origins.

I'd rather play any other Arkham game, but this was a great way to get another Arkham fix. A pretty dark yet familiar story of an unseasoned and unknown Batman in Gotham, told in a more brutal fashion with some slick cutscenes, really kept me hooked on the story. Arkham combat is such a nice change of pace to other Action games and Spider-man, keeping the brawling to one plane allowing you to focus more on deliberate timing and use of gadgets. It was also refreshing to have a smaller map to easily explore all the nooks and crannies. Some weirdness throughout - a wonky scale of cavernous hotel interiors, doorways that dwarf Batman, and a gadget that really just does not suit Batman...at all (*cough* glue gun *cough*).
