A step in the right direction, the changes in how you catch a Pokemon, how battles happens in the same plane of existance as the rest of the game, the more serious plot, all amazing additions. Though the changes to the battle system really take away, as does the changes in IVs, EVs and the removal of breeding, abilities and held itens. The only change to the battle system that really added was the new status conditions. This being the first attempt of Gamefreak in this style of game really shows since the graphics are kinda bad, the music system is really weird in gameplay and performance is also subpart. But the most important thing is that is the first time since I played Pokemon Y in 2012 that a Pokemon game really feels like I've been through a journey with many memories that'll last a while.
