5/5 ★ – OneTapFistigi's review of Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly.

This game along with the first one i played a year ago, has a really special place in my heart. It always came in a period of time where i was in stressful and generally anxious. Thanks to this game being incredibly warm and comforting, i was able to find peace in these stressful days at least for a while. So by that point, it's really special to me. But it wouldn't be really special to me if it wasn't actually a good game. This game is not for the faint of hardcore epic gameplay heart. It's supposed to be a game with minimal gameplay mechanics and lots of conversations. As it says in the title, or as in the coffee shops name itself, It's Coffee Talk. It's all about the talk. The characters which are our customers, always have interesting things to tell and they are all characters who have character faults. Which makes them actual characters. (I was gonna say it makes them human but most of them aren't lol) If we talk about this game alone i can say that it's definitely an improvement from the last game. It adds a few gameplay mechanics. Although not significantly new it's still fresh. The new characters are definitely one of the best they created. Lucas, Riona and Amanda adds a lot to the story of the game and they're just generally interesting characters with living species we haven't seen before which are Satyrs and Banshees. In conclusion it was just amazing. I might be exaggerating a little but I don't know it's just special to me. I didn't expect it to happen but in the end credits i started to tear up a little. Which doesn't happen at all i'm the type to not cry at anything but it just happened. Thank you developers for making this wholesomely comfortable game. And thank you Mohammad Fahmi, may your soul rest in peace.
