4/5 ★ – Panossa's review of Blue Prince.

After having played the whole game (all content currently known to exist) with a friend I can confidently say I've played many puzzles games which were comparable on their respective average when Blue Prince is at its best. Which is not to say Blue Prince is bad. It's surprisingly good, actually! However, Blue Prince has one big flaw. It tried to melt roguelike mechanics into puzzles, which usually caused any puzzle to be either as good as without [roguelike/RNG mechanics], or much, much more annoying than it could be. One of the best aspects I know about good puzzle games is that you can try out different ideas. Here, every try might entail a preparation of the length of a whole (or more!) run(s) of each day, until you even get a chance to throw the idea against a wall. I liked a few puzzles, I even loved a few more. But were I alone, I wouldn't even go past the point where the demo ended because the RNG is sadly a mild hindrance at best.
