If you haven't played the Witness, play that instead. If you have played the Witness, and loved it, and want something that recaptures the magic of playing it for the first time, this game does manage that occasionally, though unfortunately, only occasionally. I only found 3 of the 9 main puzzle types compelling and was rather disappointed until the final puzzles in the base game, which were brilliant and compelling, and the main reason I think of the game positively. It is unfortunate that the game reaches its potential so rarely because when it does, it's fireworks.
