2/5 ★ – Parrots's review of The Sims 4.

Anything Sims 4 does, Sims 3 does a billion times better. The Good? - Create A Sim is great - Emotion system is a nice add - Performance is better and experience less crashes than Sims 3 - Ease of building with premade rooms - Gallery is one of the best things to implement - Handful of DLCs are still worthy, most notably Snowy Escape And now the bad - You pay more for 10x less than what Sims 4 offered - DLC Packs are overpriced and Sims 3 packs offer a billion times more for when they came out and less pricey - The world is extremely limited VS Sims 3 open world, it's god awful now. - Expansions are split between Expansion Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs. None and I mean NONE OF THEM give the amount of stuff Sims 3 gave. In fact many of them give WAY LESS. - No cars, just teleporting. - Neighborhoods are small and BORING - The lifetime rewards are just plain broken. - CAS has no color options - Lack of good jobs even with DLC owned - Things that were free in last games ended up coming as updates later proving it was unfinished - Game is stripped of all it's content in base game - More game breaking glitches than ever. Lots of the time I find my sim stuck next to beds. - Terrible graphics at many places - Basic Sims features that are missing from this game - Load screens everywhere - Much less life states - Pets are uncontrollable and people making excuses for removing features. - Cats and Dogs. 40 Dollars for just Cats and Dogs. Sims 3 Pets gave you WAY MORE than just that including controllable animals, horses, stray animals, raccoons, small pets, etc. - Vampires, Werewolves and Paranormal are separate packs - Every update keeps breaking mods - Console versions aren't unique anymore and are just a copy paste of PC version and so many more problems. It's at this point just playing Sims 1&2 but slightly improved to be 100x easier. At this point just download those. PS2 "The Sims" I have more playtime than this. At least that game came complete. Go play any other Sims game, they're all better than Sims 4. In fact wait for a Sale on Sims 3 or Download Sims 1 or 2 complete. Hell even go play the console Sims because those are amazing. Unless you have $1,000 to spend and hours of modding on Sims 4, don't bother. Sims 1 actually does more than Sims 4 does.
