5/5 ★ – Perrythe8's review of Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.8 Matsuribayashi.

And to think it all started with me seeing a clip of an anime with a boy eating a sweet with a needle inside. This chapter started really slow,with the backstory of the villain; i get they had to explain it,but it was extremely uninteresting,and it still doesn't justify what they did (although it doesn't feel like it's trying to justify it,just explain it) I love the outcome of this chapter. It was like episode 10 of Season 1 from Doctor Who,and it was brilliant (non intended pun) The Fragments part was really cool too,being able to see all the mysteries (except one: who the hell was the dead lady at the beginning of Chapter 3?) in order,and to know the secrets behind everyone; it was a really nice experience. And with this, farewell Hinamizawa. Until I see the anime (both the 2006 and the 2020 ones)
