4.5/5 ★ – Ps3's review of The House of the Dead III.

Even though it’s an arcade game at its core, The House of the Dead 3 pulls you in from start to finish. It has a mysterious atmosphere that reminds me of Silent Hill, mixed with the fast-paced action of Resident Evil. I really wish I had played it on an actual arcade cabinet or at least with a light gun — I’m sure the experience would have been much more immersive. Of course, it has its limitations: you can’t save between chapters, change characters, or switch weapons. But I understand — it’s built around that classic arcade structure. Honestly, I was surprised by how cinematic and intense the game felt, despite its simple gameplay. A short but memorable ride.
