4.5/5 ★ – QuantumLeapFrog's review of The Talos Principle.
I feel quite split with this one. I really didn’t care much for the actual puzzles. They’re fine albeit sometimes get a little too challenging for my own ability. At the same time, they do get so creative, especially for getting the stars, and I even enjoyed looking up the solutions online to these because I wanted to see how they were solved
However, where this game truly wins me over is with everything outside of the puzzles. I love the world, I love the setting and I could (and likely did) spend hours talking to a robot about philosophy. If you’re into Gregorian chants setting the mood, then this will also be right up your alley. I ended up getting the Road to Gehenna DLC, and that has one of the my favorite game endings I’ve seen.
Somehow, even though I care little for the core gameplay loop, I love this game.
