4/5 ★ – RESIDENTEVIL's review of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water [duplicate].

my first fatal frame game! and what a treat of a horror game it is. before I played this game I didn’t have a WiiU and was almost contemplating buying one cause I wanted to play this so bad. Luckily my friend had a WiiU just sitting in his closet and sent it to me for free. I was very lucky. Sadly the physical version is this game was limited and very expensive now and the digital version price hasn’t dropped so I paid a full £39.99 for it. It’s a very long game but obviously I wish I could have paid less. I know this seems to be the last popular and least well received game in the series but because it was more modern it just attracted me more so I started with this one. Is it scary? Yes it can be. I always had a sense of uneasiness and felt anxious because you never know when the next ghost could appear. The atmosphere is top notch. The silly item jump scares got me every time. And The tall lady ghost is the scariest thing I’ve seen in a while. I don’t have to play the other fatal frame games to know that the combat system excells its potential by using the WiiU gamepad. They were built for each other and it’s a shame we won’t get one like this again. Or maybe we will can’t they do the same on switch? Speaking of switch I’d like a port of this or an HD collection of fatal frame games please.
