4/5 ★ – RelentlessHope's review of OMORI.

For a game that wears it's Earthbound and Yume Nikki influences on it's sleeve, the actual story was much more based in reality than I expected. The psychedelic colors that eventually give way to unsettling horror mask SOMETHING that is truly very sad. It took a little while to get there, but when the heart of everything is finally revealed in Omori, it made me ponder questions of forgiveness, of morality, of finding hope in hopelessness. Omori is about learning how to live with yourself after unexpected tragedy. Omori is about unhealthy coping mechanisms and breaking them to face the truth. It was worth the wait.
