3.5/5 ★ – ReverieVagabond's review of Crime Crackers.

It is frustrating how I wish more people could play this but can't. While it being a launch PS1 title means it has aged, there is such soul and charm to this game's presentation that those problems didn't bother me much. Sure, the level design felt really confusing due to how same-y everything looked, and the controls weren't the greatest. But the sprites, the UI during gameplay, even how the cutscenes were formatted reeks of passion under limitations. You can tell that the people making this game cared and it's a shame that it never saw an English release (or at least a fan-translation). In this day and age, I don't really think this is one of those games that you need to look at reviews to know whether or not you should play it. The moment you see it is when you'll know. The following moment of realizing you'd have to Google Translate everything is another hurdle. Maybe someday we'll see an English translation of this game, but considering how few people know about it, I doubt it will.
