5/5 ★ – Rig2Big's review of Pajama Sam In: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside.
As if this game couldn’t get any better, I somehow never knew till now that there’s multiple different routes for every objective in the game.
For example, JUST to get Pajama Sam’s mask, you can either…
(A). Help Che Carrota save the Vegetable Liberation Army from Darkness’ fridge.
(B). Brew an invisibility potion in Darkness’ basement, then steal it back from the room with the dancing furniture.
I’m so serious when I say this is the perfect video game. The attention to detail: every whacky interaction with the environment has 2-3 variations, and there’s tons of different transition animations that you might not even notice the first time around. This would’ve been an exceptional title with HALF the effort put into it, and yet, the devs (seemingly just out of the goodness of their heart) went far and beyond those expectations.
Why is this children’s point & click computer game a genuine surrealist/abstractionist masterpiece? Humongous Entertainment, how did you rally together such a dynamic team of art savants, and what the fuck are they doing nowadays?
