4/5 ★ – River_'s review of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.

As Someone who plays the actual card game in real life, I can say that this game is certainly something that I really like to use when I want to switch up how I play the real life TCG as well as try new decks that might be appealing to me in the TCG. I am a massive fan of how it manages to combine OCG and TCG rules into its own set of rules and ban lists as well as having events with original concepts or ones that have been taken from the community such as the N/R deck event which takes inspiration from the "Common Charity Challenge" that is played in the deck, where you have to play a deck that only comes in common rarity and no higher. Online is certainly a blast to play with the NET code actually being really well put together and for someone who has awful internet, I have only disconnected a handful of times and they have been via outside interference. And I personally think that being able to play single player within the game is certainly a nice change of place and something that helps F2P players grind and for the in-currency and be able to buy packs and build the deck they want. I do have some issues with the game. Some of the rulings don't particularly make sense. Some times it just doesn't allow me to go into a card after I have done other plays. This mainly happens with "Predaplant Verte Annaconda" which is a link two that helps me summon the fusions in the extra deck. I also believe that this game should have offline functionality. Things such as being able to play the single player as well as some more content for said single player as well as being able to just practice my deck against Ai. the latter of which is so useful online or offline. There are certain gripes I have with the game but they're small things that don't really affect the overall game but regardless. This game can be a lot better with some tweaking. But I think that Master duel is perfect for those type of people who are getting into the game and want to learn for free.
