4/5 ★ – RoboRev's review of Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land feels like the Super Mario 64 to the Kirby series. It took a tried and true series and took it to the next level by letting the player move Kirby through a 3D space. The overall atmosphere of the game was in classic relaxing Kirby fashion, you could tell the game wasn’t taking itself too seriously.
Honestly everything about the game was so classically Kirby, from the banging music, to the sound effects, to the controls, but heightened with the new dimension of movement. It was the perfect evolution for Kirby and I hope Nintendo focuses more on this format moving forward instead of the somewhat tired side scrolling platformer.
I dock it a star because I felt that the controls were a bit too slow at times, but I also might just be impatient.
