5/5 ★ – SethDerHero's review of Call of Duty: WWII.

You know what, this one is great, I don't care. The COD I've come back to most, I've come to realize only very recently this is possibly my favorite COD. It's also the only one I didn't buy on release from MW3, and up until the new MW2, which I still haven't bought. I got into Call of Duty with Big Red One on the PS2, and this game is essentially a modern remake of Big Red One, with a dramatic modern story that feels likes it's just playing the hits of old WWII Games, but that doesn't bother me much, since all the best COD campaigns are just playing the hits of a bunch of action movies, hell, the best COD campaign openly takes inspiration from Red Dawn. WWII is possibly the last COD campaign worth a damn, despite how fun Cold Wars was, and that's it. The Multi-player is the last COD multi-player I had fun with, saying a lot considering the game after it was multi-player only. I ended reaching prestige 4 after grinding Shipment for hours in this game. I really love this game, and I think it being remembered as a subpar Call of Duty is simply because it came out at such a bad time for the series. COD WWII is worth another shot, try it out again.
