4/5 ★ – Shotty14's review of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Miles Morals is similar to Spider-Man (2018), same world map for the most part as an example. However, it’s in the game’s style and it’s approach to that world and story within this new style that give Miles Morales a reason to be its own game.
You maybe doing a lot of the “same things” you would doing in 2018’s Spider-Man. But it’s Miles’s approach and style that make fighting bad guys doing bad things, so satisfying. Even the way Miles will swing through the air, his character will stand out.
The only “issue” is the main story’s length. Not because the story was rushed or because large parts are missing. Rather I just didn’t want the mission to be over. There is plenty of side content in the world if that’s your jam. However I was felling connected to the story and it’s characters. I felt that the story could have continued and didn’t need to end as soon as it did. This can make the game feel like a very well fleshed out expansion rather than a stand alone game. But even with that I would consider this game a must play.
