I never played the original version of the Stanley Parable, so getting to try this version was a real treat. Trying every possible path to see where you might end up was delightful, as were the wacky endings that played out. I was especially a fan of the “new content”, which had some really interesting things to say about legacy, the state of modern game development and how you follow up on something as monumental as the Stanley Parable. The “true ending”, if that’s what it’s called, actually really got to me and made me think about how too much reverence of a thing can damage its soul. Really interesting stuff, and it’s all narrated by a goofy British dude.
