5/5 ★ – SolidRinzler's review of Resident Evil 4.

- Resident Evil 4 Remake: Pure Nostalgic Bliss in Game Form Resident Evil 4 Remake is a masterclass in honoring a classic while enhancing everything that already made it legendary! In my opinion, every pixel, every frame was carefully crafted to please both longtime fans like me and the new generation. Simply put, it’s pure nostalgic bliss that had me freaking out from start to finish. The atmosphere, the graphics, the soundtrack… It’s impossible not to get chills as you step back into the village, with the tension cranked all the way up while the Ganados scream, “¡Detrás de ti, imbécil!” It felt like I was transported straight back to my PS2 days, playing on that crappy old CRT TV—but this time, with jaw-dropping visuals thanks to the glorious RE Engine, smooth gameplay, and an atmosphere that both respects and elevates the original to new heights. Speaking of characters, I’m officially in love with Leon S. Kennedy in this remake. And Ashley? She’s no longer just that annoying character you wished you could leave behind. Now, she has more personality and actually makes you want to protect her. Luis Serra? Absolute legend. Even more charming this time around, with his sarcastic humor and some major story moments (F). And Krauser? Holy shit, what a presence. His fights were some of the most satisfying in the entire game—just pure knife combat greatness. And then we have the Regenerators… Back and more terrifying than ever, ready to mess with your head all over again. Of course, we can’t forget Ada Wong, bringing that signature charm and mystery that make her such an essential part of the story. Every character, ally or enemy, shines in their own way, elevating the game even further. Resident Evil 4 (Remake) isn’t just a game; it’s a lesson in how to do a remake right. A worthy tribute to the original that defined a generation, now cementing itself once again as one of the greatest games ever made—and officially my favorite game of all time. I truly believe Capcom learned from their mistakes after the disaster that was Resident Evil 3 Remake, Resident Evil Resistance, and RE:Verse (LMAOOOOOOOOO), and with those lessons, they managed to bring back that same love and passion that made the 2004 classic so special—only now, even better. "You? Leon S. Kennedy. You haven't changed. You just think you have."
